2017 October 13th-24th Medical Team Trip

The Ghana Hope and NAGH surgical teams successfully performed 70 surgeries in four days.

The New Abirem Government Hospital delivers approximately 1000 babies per year.
Mothers and infants are cared for in the maternity ward.
The women’s ward provides care for women and pediatrics.

Newmont Goldmine is building a new dedicated pediatric unit to reduce the overcrowded wards and provide focused pediatric care.

Ghana Hope’s IS/IT specialist Mike Garrison coordinated the infrastructure necessary to add digital radiology to the New Abirem Government Hospital. Xrays can now be interpreted by Kumasi Radiologists instantly.

Dr. Eriksen donating supplies to the Okaikrom CHPS outpatient clinic. The CHPS clinics provide care to thousands of people annually.

The Ghana Hope Foundation donates to the Ntiamoah Foundation books, school supplies and computers. Saint James Catholic School in McMinnville Oregon partners with Ghana Hope annually to collect school supplies, text books, etc. Students from Saint James and the New Abirem schools have become pen-pals.

Dr. Eriksen gave a personal hygiene presentation to the girls in the secondary school.
